the xenolinguist

Diana Reed Slattery, a.k.a. mazerunner.Glide Maze The Glide Project spirals around a central theme of the mutual evolution of language, game, and consciousness, catalyzed by psychedelic self-exploration. The project began with a novel, The Maze Game and expanded to the development of interactive software, including LiveGlide, VJ software which is Glide-writing in three dimensions, performed improvisationally in domed and flat-screen environments with musicians. A second novel, The Faithful Scribe, is in the works. The main character, RoseRose, recently broke free of all authorial control and is blogging on her own. I’m currently working on a Ph.D. with the Planetary Collegium at the University of Plymouth, UK. The working title of my thesis is Communicating the Unspeakable: Linguistic Phenomena in the Psychedelic Sphere.

  1. I’m fascinated and moved in how closely our explorations are intersecting. A friend of mine forwarded your website to me recently, and I have to say I’ve never come across another individual’s work whose aesthetic discoveries (and intuition) are as aligned to my own. I’m sure you will feel the same.

The only names I attach to the drawings are actual contact, because that has been my experience with them.
